Charles Michael (Mike) Mulcare passed away Jan. 27. Mike was born July 6, 1940, in Prairie City to Paul (Cliff) and Mary (Dzierzanowski) Mulcare. When Mike was born, he and his parents were living at the Edward Hines Logging Camp on Camp Creek. Soon after, the family moved to Seneca, and later

Laverne “Verne” Edward Scheen Jr., of Burns, passed away Jan. 30. Verne was born June 19, 1955. He is survived by his wife, Marilynn Scheen; and children, Amy Scheen and Aaron Scheen. At his request, there will be no services. Contributions may be made to Harney County Hospice.
