Deborah Ann “Annie” Morley 1957 – 2025

Deborah Ann “Annie” Morley was born in Heppner, to Nelson and Iris Morley on June 16, 1957. She passed away on April 27, 2025, at St. Charles Hospital in Bend, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 67.

Annie grew up in the lumber town of Kinzua, Ore., where she attended Kinzua Grade School until the school consolidated with Fossil School District in Fossil, Ore., where she finished grade school and went on to graduate from Wheeler High School in Fossil in 1975.

She loved to sew, knit, crochet and do all kinds of craft projects.  She also was a huge animal lover, especially when it came to her cats which at an early age she would dress up in baby clothes and treat like humans.

After high school she moved to Hood River, and worked for Luhr Jensens & Sons for a number of years. During that time her daughter Misty was born after which she moved to Burns, to be closer to her mother and Misty’s grandmother.

She worked in Burns at Snow Mountain Pine, LP and Tecton before taking a job at Rite-Aid Pharmacy where she worked for many years until the company closed its doors. Shortly afterwards Annie retired and spent her time helping take care of her only grandchild, Misty’s daughter Iris.

Annie was preceded in death by her parents; her oldest brother, Larry and his wife, Jean; and her youngest brother, Rick. She is survived by her remaining family including her daughter, Misty; granddaughter, Iris; sisters, Nancy Messenger (Dave), and Chris Springer (Don); brother, Lynn Morley (Sharleen); nieces, Katie Smiley (Karl) and Tinleigh Messenger; along with nephews, Scott Messenger (Amanda), Tom Springer (Canela), Drew Messenger (Chelsie) and Brandon Smiley, Kyle Smiley, William Springer, Wyatt Springer and Treve Messenger.
