Lois Lucille (Lucy) Wallace Frisby 1929 – 2025 Obituary October 8, 2025October 17, 20250 Lucy Frisby passed away on Sept. 24, 2025, at the age of 95, at her home in Sand Hallow, Idaho. She was born Nov. 19, 1929, in Caldwell, Idaho. Her parents were Yordy and Gretchen (Heckathorn) Wallace. She was the second of seven children. She grew up in the Sunny Slope area close to Marsing, Idaho, and attended a small grade school there. When she was older, the family moved to Caldwell where she attended high school. She met her future husband, David Frisby, while working in the potato fields. They married on March 26, 1947 in Caldwell. A year later, their daughter, Joyce, was born, followed next year by their daughter, Lois. The family moved to Hines when Dave went to work for Edward Hines Logging. Their son, David, was born in Burns. Soon after moving to Hines, Lucy met June Anderson who became her lifelong friend. She also became a longtime member of Faith Baptist Church. Lucy worked at the Dairy Queen and later worked as a clerk for Tiller’s Market. By far the most enjoyable job for her was doing day care for the children of family and friends, all of which called her Grandma. Even after they were grown and had children of their own, She was still Grandma Lucy to them. She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Kozeni, Lois (Chuck) Taylor; son, David (Lana) Frisby; brother, Duane Wallace; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, many cousins and friends, and all the kids that call her Grandma. She was preceded in death by her husband, David; her parents; two sisters, Joyce and Joan; and three brothers, Ivan, Jerry and Joe. A memorial Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations in Lucy’s name may be made to Hospice or the charity of your choice.
