The Painted Pony set to open

A new store is opening in downtown Burns this week, as The Painted Pony has their grand opening set for Thursday, June 5 from 4-8 p.m.

Owners Nick and Victoria Martinak, who opened The Andalusian – a home decor store that offers a variety of products from custom furniture, kitchen accessories, baby gifts, stationary, and a full line of apothecary items in 2019 – expand next door and will offer make-up, haircare, tanning supplies, skincare, hair tools, perfume, cologne, and more.

Victoria said, “We felt that there is a need for the women of Harney County to be able to shop local for these types of products.”

At the grand opening, there will be light snacks, as well as, The Prickly Pear, a mobile bar that will sell alcoholic drinks as well as non-alcoholic beverages. Summit Fern Permanent Jewelry will also be there taking reservations.

The Painted Pony will be open this Friday and Saturday, June 6-7, celebrating the opening, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. After that, their regular hours will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.

“We are so excited to offer this new shopping option to our great town. We look forward to seeing you downtown this summer, shopping at all our amazing venues throughout main street.” said Victoria.

The Painted Pony is located next door to The Andalusian at 359 N. Broadway Ave., in downtown Burns.
