Robert Neil Morrison 1948 – 2026

Robert Neil Morrison, born Jan. 21, 1948, in Portland, son of Robert O. Morrison and Shirley McNeil Morrison, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, leaving a life filled with laughter, adventure, and cherished memories.

He attended high school in Burns, before enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. He served a tour in Vietnam and later continued his service in the United States Coast Guard as a Medic.

Robbie attended Boise State University, where he met and married his first wife, Wanda. Together they had two daughters, January and Angela, who were raised in Bend, where Robbie finished Nursing School. After raising his daughters, Robert moved to Beaverton, where he met his current wife, Rose. Together, they had twin daughters, Natali and Hope, born in 2006. He also had two stepchildren, Jacob and Ashley.

He worked as a Supervisor of Assisted living homes for many years before changing careers to drive for Nike. One of his greatest joys was escorting athletes during the World Championships in Eugene in 2022, a time he remembered fondly.

Robbie loved spending time with his family, enjoying long patio visits and conversations, and he found great joy in watching the Oregon Ducks. He also enjoyed fishing and trips to the beach, where grilling fresh fish became a lasting tradition.

Known for his dry sense of humor and perfectly timed one-liners. Those who knew him carry pieces of his wit, wisdom, and warmth forward. Some of his best memories were returning to Burns and  playing golf in The Julio Urizar annual Tournament with his family and friends.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Rose; his sister, Lisa Morrison Walsh of San Diego and his brother-in-law, Greg Walsh; his brother, Kern Morrison of Baker City; his daughters; his stepchildren; and nieces and nephews, and extended family, Melissa Meeuwsen and family of Oceanside, Calif., and Taylor Ritches and family of Terrebonne, and Karissa Morrison of Bellingham Wash. Robbie was preceded in death by both parents and daughter, Angela.
