Grocery Outlet to hold ribbon cutting, grand opening

Grocery Outlet Bargain Market, the nation’s fastest-growing, extreme-value grocery retailer is opening its first store in Burns, creating more than 30 new jobs in the community. The ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 30, will feature donations of $1,000 in Grocery Outlet Gift Cards to Christian Church Food Bank. Following the ribbon cutting, lunch will be provided by Smoking Pit Barbecue from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a $10 minimum purchase while supplies last.

Karen and Tyler Colley, the store’s independent owner-operators, invite the community to attend a special grand opening celebration on Saturday, Dec. 2.

WHEN: Ribbon Cutting officiated by Harney County Chamber of Commerce at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 30. Lunch provided by Smoking Pit Barbecue from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a $10 minimum purchase while supplies last.

Community Grand Opening event from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2.

Starting Saturday, Dec. 2 through Dec. 30, customers may enter to win the Grand Prize of $500 in Grocery Outlet Gift Cards. The Grand Prize drawing will take place at the end of the day on Saturday, Dec. 30, at the Burns Grocery Outlet. (Must be 18 years of age or older. One entry per person per day. No purchase necessary. Winner need not be present to win, but must claim the prize within three days of notification.)

First 500 customers will receive a free eco-friendly reusable bag.

Additional attractions include:
