Jim Kowash, 80, passed away July 10 at his home in Malad, Idaho.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, LaVeta Kowash; children, Anita (Dale) Shouse of McCune, Kan., Bernice Kowash of Tremonton, Utah, James Kowash of Malad, Joyce (Kevin) Hofman of Malad, and Louise (Jon) Hotchkiss of Eugene; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandsons. He is also survived by his brothers, Paul and Dave Kowash of Woodburn; and many nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and infant daughter.

A funeral mass was held Monday, July 16, at the Malad Presbyterian church, with interment in the Malad cemetery.
