Margaret Ann Derrick 1943-2018

Margaret Ann Derrick passed away Sept. 17 at her home, with family beside her.

Margaret was born to Thelma and Sam Fuller on March 1, 1943, in Burns. She had three brothers, and she was the only girl.

Margaret was an amazing woman who loved to travel, loved music (she played the steel guitar and loved Conway Twitty and Aaron Neville), and her favorite “country songs”!

Family was most important to her, and she was involved and loving. She was on dialysis for the past six years, and she handled it with graciousness and aplomb.

Margaret is survived by her children, Deborah Payton, Becky Johnson, John Derrick, and David Derrick; grandchildren, Shirley and Chris Alexander, Terrance and Cassie Payton, Ryan and Anna Johnson, Kayla, Alyssa, and Alyandra Derrick; great-grandchildren, Hayley, Phoenix, and Ari Payton, Makahlia Crossley, Isaha Crossley, Elijah and Taylor Alexandra, Sequoia Adams, Nitaha Griffey, and Nemo, DeAndre, Fia, and Penne Archie; great-great-grandchildren, Sinika and Mika Adams, and Nova Griffey; and many friends.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Thelma and Sam Fuller; brothers, Pat and Sammy Fuller; and granddaughter Charisma.

She was cherished and will be truly missed.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at Bowman Funeral Parlor, 10254 W. Carlton Bay Dr. in Garden City, Idaho, with visitation beginning at noon.
