Frank M. Revak

Frank M. Revak passed away Oct. 9, three months after his 90th birthday.

Frank was born in Phillips, Wis., moved west when he was 20, and brought his craft of tree grooming with him. He married Patricia Hofman and secured a job with Edward Hines Lumber Company where he worked in the mill and fell trees for almost two decades. During break-up, he worked for Wooster and Ramirez doing construction.

A resolute Catholic, he was very active and a 1st Degree in the Knights of Columbus at the Burns Holy Family Catholic Church. He started Triangle builders and owned and operated Burns Lumber Company. He made a big impact in Harney County from building the Hines City Hall, Wagner’s Furniture, county assessors office, bridges for the county to remodel of the library, and many more homes.

Frank and Pat moved to Fernley, Nev., in early 2000. When Pat passed away in 2005, Frank was on his own for a bit when he met and married Alice Cahal. Frank resided in Reno, near his sons, Mike and Matt, and stayed in Nevada with Alice for the rest of his years.

Frank taught and admired his sons through their hunting, fishing trips, and golf trips, and treated his daughters like little princesses; he was one of the last of his kind; agreed on a handshake, trusted on a promise, and forgave with an apology. Frank Revak was a kind, loving, and upright man.

Frank leaves behind his caring wife, Alice; older sister, Helen Stubbs; children, Michael Revak (Suzanne), Katherine Lutka (Fred Lutka), Matthew Revak (Cathy), Peter Revak (Ramona), Anthony Revak (Sarah), and Rebecca Revak (Mark Watson); stepchildren, Karen Romàn and William Cahal; grandchildren, Shawna Revak-Krum, Stephanie Revak, Kari Fouts, Kelley Harding, Anthony Knefel, Amy Tipton, Talia Hoagland, Malea Kuykendall, Erin Capurro, Hannah Chalmers, Chase Revak, Ian Revak, and Juliet Watson; step-grandchildren, Reece Romàn, Joel Romàn, Ali Johnson, Melissa Eves, Rebecca Stephens, Audra Shaw, Isaiah Vanderelst;  great-grandchildren, Nolan, Kedrick, Gavin, Jace, Jovie, Holly, Oscar, Hailey, Tobin, Tucker, Auja, Chloe, Sydnie, Lauren, Davis, Alina, Cael, Mattelyn, and Evelynn; step-great-grandchildren, Milana, Natalia, Thea, Chandler, Ethan, Alice, Willa, Harrison, Jason, Lowell, Emmi, and Quin.
