Justin Jetley 1957-2019

Justin Jetley (J.J.), 62, of Mountain Home, Idaho, passed away Dec. 22, 2019.

Justin was born Nov. 7, 1957 in Burns, the oldest of two boys to Wes and Marie Jetley, and a descendant of the Welcomes who made their home there in 1872. He graduated in 1975 in Burns. After graduation, he went into the Navy and off to college in Portland. In August of 1980, Justin took a job as a Sears repairman and moved to Boise, Idaho. He’d say, “I worked there for 30 years, four months, and 16 days, but who’s counting?” In July 1981, Justin met the love of his life, Connie Logan of Boise. They were married March 20, 1982. They were blessed with two daughters, Melissa and Monica. They established their home in Mountain Home in 1991.

Justin enjoyed hunting, camping, and always had a crossword puzzle or sudoku in his hand. He enjoyed being a family man and managed to make  people smile everywhere he went.

Justin had been around the world, excluding Africa, and had many stories to tell. Justin and his wife, Connie, bought the Airbase Road Chevron in 2010/2011 and operated it since. There he made many friends and put smiles on many faces. He will be forever remembered and missed by all who knew him or crossed his path.

Justin is survived by his wife of 37 years, Connie; daughters, Melissa (Cody) Kalkhoff, and Monica Martin; grandchildren, Destiny (Patrick) Travis and their two boys, John and Logan, Cody Huntington, Nathan and Caleb Martin, and Jayce and Addyson Kalkhoff; mother, Marie Jetley; brother, Jason (Jane) Jetley; and many nieces and nephews.

Justin was preceded in death by his father; nieces, Melinda Jetley and Merrie Littlecook; Richard Keith Logan, George Mike Logan, and Alfred Poole.

A memorial service was held Dec. 27, 2019, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. Cremation was under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
