Rickey Wade Smith passed away Dec. 11 at the age of 56.

Rick was born in Burns on July 17, 1964 to Gail (Pete) and Clarence (Bud) Smith. He was raised in and went to school in Harney County.

He loved hunting, fishing, and camping. Rick moved to Utah, married and worked in the restaurant business for many years.

He returned to Harney County in 2009, divorced and worked at many local businesses. Rick was a great cook and had a huge heart. He was 56 years old.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Gail Smith.

He is survived by his father, Clarence; brother, Darrell (Debbie) Smith; nephews, Toby (Tanya) Smith, Chris (LeeAnna) Smith, all of Harney County, nephew, Kevin (Mikayla) Smith, of Redmond; aunts, Arlene Williams, and Larraine Tiller; cousins, Randy (Connie) Tiller, all of Harney County, and Rocky Tiller, of Gilchrist, Ore., and many great nieces and nephews.

There will be no service.
