Lardy named interim principal at Slater School


Harney County School District No. 3 is pleased to announce that Stephanie Lardy was named the new interim principal of Slater Elementary School.

Lardy, a resident of Burns, is currently a teacher on special assignment as a behavior specialist at Slater Elementary. She replaces Debi Lorence, who resigned.

Mrs. Lardy has been in education for 17 years. During her tenure, she has taught math at Hines Middle School, and she was in the 5th grade classroom at Slater for the last 15 years.

Superintendent Steve Quick said, “She has been a valuable employee of the district for many years and is ready to lead Team Slater. She is the perfect fit for Slater at this time, and we are all excited to support her as she steps into this new role.”

  1. She should be fired or at least demoted for slaughtering 5 elk and wasting their meat. She and her husband have no business ever hunting again as they are criminals and knew better/
