Crane girls take first in the 1A State Track and Field Championships

The Crane Mustang girls captured the 1A State Track and Field Championship title Saturday, May 22 at Eastern Oregon University.

The 1A State Track and Field Championships were held Saturday, May 22 at Eastern Oregon University.

The Crane Mustang girls captured the state title with a first-place finish, scoring 75 points. North Lake came in second with 48 points.

The Crane boys team finished 23rd with 10 points.

The results for Crane are as follows:

Girls

100m — Taylor Joyce, 2nd, 13.50.

200m — Taylor Joyce, 2nd, 28.15.

3000m — Leslie Doman, 14th, 14:04.71.

100m hurdles — Kelsie Siegner, 3rd, 17.22; Kortney Doman, 5th, 17.75; Laurle Witzel, 8th, 18.06.

300m hurdles — Kelsie Siegner, 3rd, 49.44; Kortney Doman, 5th, 50.10; Laurel Witzel, 15th, 57.16.

4×100 relay — Crane (K. Doman, Joyce, Siegner, Klair Venell) 3rd, 53.32.

Discus — Laurel Witzel, 4th, 96-11; Shelie Doman, 6th, 85-07; Leslie Doman, 10th, 74-00.

Javelin — Leslie Doman, 9th, 100-06.

High jump — Kortney Doman, 2nd, 4-10.00.

Pole vault — Taylor Joyce, 2nd, 8-06.00.

Triple jump — Kelsie Siegner, 2nd, 32-04.00.

Boys

200m — Carter Nichols, 11th, 24.58.

300m hurdles — Kelton Dunten, 3rd, 43.02.
