Rex Glenn Baker 1952 – 2021

Rex passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Nov. 22, 2021.

He was born on Aug. 26, 1952 in Denver, Colo. to Richard S. Baker and Agnes “Marie” Baker.

Rex graduated from Golden High School in 1970. In 1971 he married Connie (Wall) Hall. They had two children together, Jason and Marcy.

In 1975, they moved to Hines and he worked for Edward Hines Lumber Mill Co. He then went to work for the Sheriff’s Office. Years later, Rex went on to be a City of Hines Police Sergeant.

In 1986 he fell in love with Debbie Freeman, who had two children, Jessica and Kristina. They met at Jerry’s Restaurant. 

From the first kiss they were forever in love and enjoyed life together. They married in 2003.

Rex is preceded in death by his father and mother. He is survived by his wife, Debbie; brother, Richard Baker of Colo., and Phillip Baker of Tenn.; son, Jason Baker and his wife, Kim of Colo.; daughter, Marcy Hooker and her husband, Brandon; step-daughters, Jessica Jenkins and Kristina Barton and her husband, Doug of Tenn.; grandchildren, Damon Johnson, Areya Baker, Ashley Johnson, Analyse Baker, Dakota Jenkins, and Lilly McCarty.

The memorial service was held Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021 at LaFollette’s Chapel.
