Hilander girls basketball team continues to roll

The Burns Hilander girls basketball team netted two recent wins at home, extending their winning streak to six.

The Hilanders hosted Grant Union on Wednesday, Dec. 15, where they picked up the win, 56-32.

Leading the way for the girls was Kaitlyn Wright who had 20 points on the night. Akylah Kaino finished with 17, and Ashley Wright added 10.

On Monday, Dec. 20, Burns defeated the Sisters Outlaws at home, 51-33. 

K. Wright led the Hilanders in scoring with 23 points, A. Wright, Amanda Sanders, and Olivia Winn each finished with six, Kaya Dobson and Danye Runnels added four apiece, and Merissa Medley finished with two.

Next, Burns will play in the Baker Invitational in Baker City. The three-day tournament will be held Dec. 27-29.
