Crane boys and girls ranked first in league

The Crane Mustang boys basketball team finished up regular season play this past weekend, Friday-Saturday, Feb. 11-12, by defeating Caldera JV 68-51 and Adrian 69-51.

The No. 1 ranked 1A Mustangs went 25-0 and 14-0 in High Desert League play. Crane scored 1,605 points this season (highest in 1A classification), averaging 64 points a game, while only allowing 871 points.

Crane is one of three undefeated teams left in 1A, with South Wasco County sitting at 20-0 and Ione/Arlington at 18-0.

On Friday, Feb. 11, the lady Mustangs faced off against Caldera JV at home and came away victorious, 54-19.

The next day, Saturday, Feb. 12, Crane put away Adrian at home, 66-14.

The Crane girls basketball team finishes the season 24-1 and 12-0 in High Desert League play.

The 1A No. 1 ranked Mustangs have outscored their opponents 1,335 (53 points per game) to 662 (26.5 points per game).
