Jim passed away at the Pioneer Place nursing home in Vale, with family by his side. He has been a resident of Ontario since 1975.

He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Gerri; children, Cathy Stephen (Doug) of Aloha Ore., Debbie Howden (Gene) of Lenore Idaho, Lonnie Stephen (Lissa) of Beaverton; and their families and many relatives and friends.

Jim and family lived In Burns from 1961-1974. He had many stories from his work as a game warden with the Oregon State Police. He loved the country and the people of Harney County.

Celebration of Life will be April 9,2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Butte Baptist Church, 3848 Butte Drive, Ontario, Ore., 97914.
