Help stop human trafficking

IN OUR BACKYARD, a national anti-trafficking nonprofit, and a local trafficking survivor leader will present a human trafficking community awareness training Friday, Aug. 12, at 5:30 p.m. at the Harney County Community Center.

Learn how to recognize the behaviors and tactics used by human traffickers to groom and exploit victims and how to safely report any concerning activity. Hear a survivor share her compelling story from exploitation to recovery, hope, and prevention.

“All traffickers want is for us to stay home and stay silent. I am sharing my story to prevent what happened to me from happening to anyone else,” Survivor Leader Lilly Lawson said.

Find out how you can join IN OUR BACKYARD to stop and prevent human trafficking, build safe communities, and promote good will.
