Burns Hilander wrestling takes first at Pendleton Red Lion Invitational

With six, first-place finishers, the Burns Hilander wrestling team vaulted ahead of the competition, taking first in the Pendleton Red Lion Invitational held at the Pendleton Convention Center on Wednesday, Dec. 21.

Kempton Richardson (106), Kale Cornell (126), Hazen Johnson (132), Carter Lardy (145), Hunter Kemper (152), and Easton Kemper (170) each took home gold in their respective weight class.

The Hilanders placed first with 261 points. Hood River Valley took second with 169.5 points, Baker placed third with 159.5 points, Nyssa placed fourth with 153.5, and Pendleton rounded out the top five with 148.5 points. A total of 19 schools participated in the contest.
