The Burns Hilander wrestling team won the 12-team Woodfin-Robinson Memorial Tournament on Friday, Dec. 30, at Burns High School.

Burns placed first with a score of 268. Madras came in second place with a score of 197, followed by Grant Union with 150, Nyssa with 147, Ontario with 95, Crane with 71, Vale with 68, Sisters with 57.5, North Lake with 29, Pine Eagle with 26, Gilchrist with 7, and Four Rivers with 6.

Seven Hilanders — Kempton Richardson (106), Thomas Winn (120), Kale Cornell (126), Hazen Johnson (132), Carter Lardy (145), Hunter Kemper (152), and Easton Kemper (170) — led the way, each earning a gold medal in their respective weight class.

The Crane Mustangs also had two first-place finishers, including Jack Roath (138) and Jake Doman (182).
