On Jan. 3, an Oath of Office Ceremony was performed at the Harney County Courthouse.

The Honorable Robert S. Raschio, presiding circuit court judge of the 24th judicial district (Grant and Harney counties), administered the oath of office to Harney County Treasurer Bobbi Jo Heany and Harney County Commissioner Patty Dorroh. Treasurer Heany and Commissioner Dorroh were both elected to a second term during the statewide primary election in May 2022.

Judge Raschio also administered an oath of office to newly elected Harney County Judge Bill Hart. Judge Hart was elected to his first term during the May primary, defeating incumbent candidate Judge Pete Runnels.

Members of the American Legion Harney County Post 63 presented the American and Oregon flags.

Hines resident Arik Swindelhurst delivered an invocation and thanked Runnels for his years of service to Harney County.

Attendees included other Harney County elected officials, members of the public, and former Harney County Judge Steve Grasty.
