On the evening of Wednesday, Nov. 29, Harney District Hospital (HDH) held a Mammography Happy Hour in the HDH Family Care Clinic lobby.

Featuring mocktails, snacks, music, and giveaways, the event aimed to encourage women to get their mammogram in a fun and inviting atmosphere.

A total of nine patients received mammograms during the event.

The Happy Hour was organized by Dr. Linda Selby with help from numerous hospital and clinic employees.

Staff from the HDH Imaging Department checked in patients, distributed educational materials, and provided the mammograms. The hospital would like to thank Marcie Neher for providing information and assisting with scheduling as well as Jody Megan and Sierra Phillips for working so hard to provide the mammograms!

Krysta Raif, business operations manager at the Family Care Clinic, scheduled appointments prior to the event. Walk-ins were also welcomed.

The Pine Room generously donated these mouthwatering appetizers and desserts for the event.

Family Nurse Practitioner Danyelle Peters appeared on Harney County Live to promote the Happy Hour and explain the importance of mammograms. The hospital would like to thank Peters for going on the air and Mindy Gould of Elkhorn Media Group for hosting her.
