The Crane Mustang girls and boys basketball teams won the 2023-24 High Desert League championship held at Grant Union High School, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 16-17. The girls captured their fourth consecutive HDL Championship by defeating Jordan Valley 61-40, and finished the regular season a perfect 25-0. The no. 1 ranked Mustangs will host Eddyville Charter High School in the first round of the OSAA/OnPoint Community Credit Union 1A playoffs on Wednesday, Feb. 21, with tipoff set for 6 p.m. The boys basketball team won their third straight HDL title, after taking down Adrian in the finals 70-34. The boys finished the regular season at 24-1 and hosted Crow/City First Christian Academy in the first round of the OSAA/OnPoint Community Credit Union 1A playoffs, on Tuesday, Feb. 20.
