Pictured with her mother and assistant coach, Lindsay Davies, Burns Hilander senior standout pitcher, Ayla Davies, logged her 1,000th career strikeout this past weekend. In three games, Ayla struck-out 41 batters in 15 innings during the past weekend.  

Ayla’s impressive feat ranks her sixth overall in the record books for Oregon. It’s even more impressive as her freshman year was marred by COVID-19. 

She’s currently sitting at 1,015 strikeouts in a little over two and a half seasons, with a 62-6 record, averaging 15 strikeouts a game.
