Nancy Marie Kidwell passed away on Dec. 14, 2025, from age-related causes. She was 88 years old.

Nancy was born in Roseburg, Ore., to Robert and Lois Gile on April 3, 1937. She married Charles McCowen in June 1957. He died in a logging accident in October 1966. Nancy married Richard “Dick” Kidwell in January 1969.

They were well known, together and individually, in the community and were very active in the Burns Church of the Nazarene.

They divorced in 1988. Nancy moved to Springfield, Ore., in the early 1990s where she lived until her passing. She is survived by her children, Mike McCowen of Eugene, Vicki McCowen Bishop of Eugene, John McCowen of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Randy Kidwell of Burns; step-children, Jeannine Sykes and Rich Kidwell; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

At her request, no services will be held.
