Stanley Lee Larson March 2, 1947 – Oct. 9, 2025

Stanley L. Larson Sr., was born in Mobridge, S.D., on March 2, 1947, to Fred (Fritjob) Ernest Larson and Iva May Memmer Larson. 

He was raised in South Dakota on a small farm south of Tyndall and attended Daisy Valley #30, a one-room country school.

The family then moved to Glendive, Mont., for his seventh grade. They moved to the town of Huron, S.D., where he attended Junior and Senior High School. After graduating from Huron High School, he enrolled in a trade school located in Omaha, Neb., for auto body repair. He was drafted into the U.S. Army and served his country for two years. After his basic and military occupational specialty training, he was stationed in and served his remaining enlistment time in South Korea near the DMZ. His military occupational specialty was a welder and vehicle body repairman.

After serving in the Army, he relocated to Seattle. A few years later, he moved the family to Bend, working as an auto body repairman for a few years. He then was hired on at the local saw mill (Brooks-Scanlon), where he worked fifteen years.

He is survived by six children from his first marriage, Dianna Lynn Charbono Larson LaMain; his children, Lisa Larson Dittemore, Stanley L. Larson Jr., Levi Larson, Hannah Larson, Victoria Larson, and Isaac Larson; brothers, Ralph Edward Larson and James Allen Larson; and wife, Mollie Nason Larson.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Leon Stewart Memmer; and sister, Alice Marie Larson Lapeer.

Stanley Larson Sr., is buried in the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery located in Garden City, Idaho.
