National champion… again!

Seth Nonnenmacher, a 2014 graduate of Burns High School and senior at George Fox, took first place in the javelin to repeat as a national champion at the 2018 NCAA Div. III Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Nonnenmacher’s winning throw of 241-11.50 (73.75m) came on the first of his six attempts. His throw also broke his own George Fox school record of 234-06, and placed him third all-time on the NCAA Div. III list. Second place went to Cameron Stalters of Fitchburg State with a throw of 229-04 on his final attempt.

The George Fox men’s track team finished tied for seventh in the team standings.
