Primrose Mary Truesdell (Pickett) 1933 – 2021

Primrose Mary Truesdell (Pickett) passed away peacefully in her sleep Feb. 4, 2021.

She was born April 19, 1933 in London, England to Percy Baden-Powell Pickett and Mabel Rosario Holden of Woolwich. Her family lived near the Royal Arsenal munitions factory and during WWII experienced air raids and evacuations.

Primrose became a legal assistant after her graduation and marrying U.S. Airman Kenneth Truesdell in 1954. She is preceded in death by Ken. They were married 65 years.

Primrose left England and the city life. After Ken’s eight years in the U.S.A.F. they moved to a variety of ranches while Ken pursued his interest in cattle as a buckaroo.

Prim used the time on ranches to put her seamstress skills to work. Ken always had great looking shirts and Primrose had a beautiful and classy style to her clothing. Her children benefited from her knitting and sewing as well.

Prim had a quick wit, sharp tongue, saucy sense of humor and a stiff upper lip. She enjoyed listening to Tom Jones and the Coldstream Guards and Black Watch.

Primrose is survived by her three daughters, Mary Truesdell (Jeremy), Joanne Truesdell (David) and Teresa Marsh (Ernie). Grandchildren, Adam, Milo, Audi, Scott and Maygen. Great-grandchildren, Taytum, Aurora and Korbyn. Primrose has nieces and nephews in the United States and England as well.

No services are planned. Primrose will be buried in Burns with Ken.
