Bennett Muffler leaves lasting legacy

Dennis Bennett came from a long history of business owners. In 1992, he followed in that legacy by building and successfully running Bennett Muffler and partnering with his dad, Gerry Bennett, to add Burns’ first and only automatic car wash to the business.

You would think that running two successful enterprises would be enough for one man, but not Dennis. In 1996, he added the U-Haul Dealership to his list of endeavors. While running their businesses, Dennis and his wife, Dahlia, raised three beautiful and successful daughters and helped their four amazing grandkids grow.

Although his family already viewed him as a successful superhero, Dennis decided not to let the moss grow under his feet. In 2010, he took over his dad’s car dealer license and started selling cars on the side.

However, after 30 years of keeping Harney County’s cars clean and on the road, 25 years of assisting people with their moving needs, and a lot of emotions, Dennis decided to retire and sell the businesses that he worked so hard to establish. The Bennett family wishes nothing but success, great memories, and happy customers to the new owners.

During the past 30 years, the Bennetts built a legacy of hard work, dedication, time, love, community support, and generosity. Although he will be enjoying some well-deserved rest and relaxation, Dennis is sure to be just as successful in his retirement as he was during his career.

The Bennett family would like to graciously thank members of the Harney County community for all of their support during the past three decades.
