Patricia Siegner May 5, 1939 — July 27, 2022

Patricia Siegner went to be with God on July, 27, 2022. The broken body which held Patricia Siegner’s beautiful and indomitable soul was a poor container. The Lord lifted her from that 83 year old wreck, and gave her something more suitable.

Pat could neither run nor dance after a horse accident left her with limited use of her limbs. She talked, from time to time, about doing those things again when she reached Heaven.

Now those of us mourning her departure take comfort by imagining her dancing, joyous and barefoot, before God in one of Heaven’s more beautiful places.

The family she left behind include her husband, Monte Siegner; their five children, Bryn, Mark, Chris, Mitch and Clint, their spouses; twelve grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family also includes her sister, Sharon Genasci and her husband, a niece and her husband, a grandniece and two grandnephews.

She spent her youth in Hillsboro, Oreg., and graduated from “Hill High”. Then it was off to the University of Arizona for three and a half years, before she married Monte in 1960 and moved to Washington State. Pat and Monte had their five children, before moving to the Wrench Ranch in Fields in 1972.

Pat was a loving wife. She was a wonderful mother and a loyal fan, cheering for her kids, and then grandkids, at any sporting event she could find her way to. She worked hard, even after it became hard for her to work. It was only through constant effort and determination that she kept her ability to stand and use a walker until the last year of her life.

She will be remembered as a photographer and an artist. She was an evangelist who boldly proclaimed her faith, as the faithful are called to do.

Pat made friends easily and often because she was bright, curious, caring and funny. These traits were the manifestation of something deeper which attracted and inspired people. She kept the virtues which God tells us are all that matter in the end; faith, hope and love.

She did not let them go when the horse threw her and left her mostly paralyzed. She held on when she had to leave the ranch and her husband of 62 years to move into an assisted living home last year. Despite a life full of challenges great and small, her faith held strong, she remained hopeful and she loved generously – right to her last moment here with us.

Now Pat dances victorious in Heaven. The wheelchair and the leg braces are cast aside.

We all miss her terribly. It helps that there is so much to celebrate and remember about her life. We are inspired by the example she set.

The family and close friends will celebrate her life on Sept. 24, starting at 1:00 p.m.  They will gather at the family ranch in Riverside, Ore. and share a pot-luck meal. The family will provide tri-tip and close friends are invited to bring a dish of their choice. Those who have a fond memory or kind words involving Pat and wish to share them are invited to mail them to Bonnie Siegner at PO Box 1754, Eagle, ID 83616 or email to bonniesiegner@gmail.com.
