Harney County Clerk to hold a public certification

Harney County Clerk Derrin (Dag) Robinson will conduct a public certification of the Clear Ballot vote tabulation system Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 9 a.m. in the Harney County Clerk’s Office at the courthouse.

The Clear Ballot vote tabulation system will tally votes for the Nov. 8 General Election.

The public certification will include a demonstration of the system, an overview of Election Day procedures, and an explanation of how audits are performed for each election.

Ballots for the November election will begin arriving in mail boxes on Oct. 20. The last day to register as a new voter is Oct. 19. If you have moved, or changed your mailing address, please update your registration at www.oregonvotes.gov. You can also complete a new voter registration form at the County Clerk’s Office.

Post marks count on returned ballots. Ensure your ballot is postmarked by election day (Nov. 8) or dropped in an official ballot drop site. In Harney County, drop sites are located in the parking lot of the County Courthouse, Hines City Hall, and across from Fellowship Church in Crane.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the Harney County Clerk’s Office at 541-573-6641.
