Carsen Volle earns All-American status in Eugene

Carsen Volle scored 5,472 points in the Boys Decathlon at the USA Track & Field National Junior Olympic Championships, earning him All-American status.

Burns trackster Carsen Volle, placed fourth overall in the age 15-16 Boys Decathlon, making him a USA Track & Field (USATF) Youth All American, at the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships, held at Hayward Field in Eugene July 24-30.

Volle earned 5,472 points for fourth place, 56 points shy of third place. Volle placed third in the high jump (5’10.75”) and 400-meter (52.39); fourth in the 100-meter (11.78) and 110-meter hurdles (16.09); sixth in the 1,500-meter (4:50.74); seventh in javelin (121’7”); 10th in long jump (18’7”) and discus (95’10”); 11th in pole vault (9’4.25”); and 15th in shot put (29’3.25”).

Volle will be a junior at Burns High School for the 2023-24 school year.
