Kayden Lee Landen Galusha 2008 – 2024

Kayden Lee Landen Galusha passed away Feb. 2, 2024, at St. Charles Medical Center in Bend.

Kayden was brought into the world on June 9, 2008, by mother, Amber Smith and father, Richard Galusha.

Kayden was a kind kid with an amazing sense of humor. He enjoyed hunting for treasures, catching crawdads, playing video games, and listening to music.

Kayden had three brothers: Eddie Lafferty, Richard Dean Galusha lll, and Isaac Daniel Galusha. He also had three sisters: Rose Lafferty, Aubrey Galusha, and Taylor Galusha. Kayden loved all of them very much.

Kayden lived in many places during his 15 years; Medford, Ore., Alturas, Calif., Las Vegas, Nev., Redding, Calif., and Burns. 

Kayden lived with his mother, Amber and stepdad, Adam Lafferty in Alturas, until he was seven years old, then moved to live with his grandma, Krista and grandpa, Kenny Weyburn. He loved hunting for lizards and spent a lot of time in the swimming pool. Kayden then moved to Burns, to live with his father, Richard Galusha and stepmother, Amanda Galusha. Kayden decided to move back to his grandma, Krista and grandpa, Kenny when he turned 14 to be closer to his mom. Kayden eventually moved back to Burns because he missed his family and friends. Kayden touched many hearts in Burns.

Kayden attended Slater Elementary, Hines Middle School, where one of his teachers said he was the class clown and loved to make his classmates laugh. He also attended high school in Redding, Calif. and in Burns. 

Kayden was a successful organ donor and he will live on in the lives he saved.

He’s survived by his parents, many grandparents, many aunts and uncles as well as cousins and siblings.

Kayden’s Celebration of Life will be held at Burns Christian Church in Burns, on Feb. 24, at 3 p.m., with a potluck gathering to follow, where all are welcome, with or without a dish.
