The BHS wrestling team finished in second place at the Special District 3A District 4 wrestling tournament held in Burns Friday and Saturday, Feb. 9-10.

The Hilanders scored 259 points with 13 wrestlers placing, six of those champions in their respective weight class: Kempton Richardson (106), Henry Barnes (120), Kale Cornell (126), Cannon Kemper (150), Easton Kemper (175), and Joe Weil (215). Three other wrestlers, Hayden Cornell (106), Preston Hill (132), and Hazen Johnson (138) will join the district champions at the 3A Oregon State Wrestling Tournament held in the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Portland, Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 22-24.

Nyssa became the district champions, scoring 297 points, with Burns coming in at second, scoring 259. La Pine finished in the third spot with 220 points, Vale 145, Riverside 139, McLoughlin 89, Sisters 87, and Umatilla 16.
