Ronnie Dean Dawson April 8, 1974 – Oct. 27, 2024 Obituary April 22, 2026April 29, 20260 Ronnie was born April 8, 1974 to Cliff and Carol Dawson and joined his sister. He went to Washington School from kindergarten to first grade. The family moved to Adel, Ore., where he went to a 2-room school from 2nd grade to 4th grade. He was the only 4th grader there at the time. He was in a hee haw play where he played Grandpa Jones. He learned to play the guitar, rode horses with his dad. Ronnie had an imagination where local kids and his sister would pretend to have their own band. Playing down at the pig pen and helping Fred. Swimming in the falls. The family moved to the Petan Ranch in Tuscarora, Nev. He finished his 4th grade year and went through 7th grade in Owyhee, Nev. (Duck Valley) Ron enjoyed helping the buckaroo crew ride and move cows. This is where he learned how to do some trick roping. He did rabbit 4-H one year. His family moved back to Burns halfway through his 7th grade year. He attended Junior High and High School. He graduated from Burns High School in 1992. After graduating he helped hay for Culp Cattle Company. He started work at the mill until it shut down. He went back to school and became a farrier. He went to work for Ericksons Sentry and became a butcher. At the time of his death, he was employed at Milburn Heating and Cooling in Burns. Ronnie enjoyed playing the guitar, riding horses and spending time with his son. When he sang, he sounded like Clint Black. He was known for his sense of humor. He took after his dad. Ronnie is survived by his son, Ian Dawson; sister, Teresa Stephens, brother-in-law, Jeremiah Stephens; and lots of cousins. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Cliff and Carol Dawson. Grandparents, Wheeler (Tex) Dawson and Carita Dawson. Aunt, Janet and uncle, Allen Sherburn. A Celebration Of Life will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the Hines Park Pavilion from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. There will be a BBQ potluck, please bring chairs.
