Richard Dean Pierce Sr. passed away Monday, Nov. 7, 2022. He was 79 years old. Rick was born on Nov. 28, 1942, in the back seat of a cop car in Portland. He contracted polio at the age of 10 months. His childhood was spent in and out of Shriners

Leanna “Renee” Mize, 63, of Burns, passed away on Nov. 30, 2022. Renee was born May 3, 1959 to David and Joann Moore. Renee was the oldest of three children, Brian Moore and Craig Moore (Bend).  Renee attended Lost River Jr/Senior High School and received an associate degree from Oregon Institute

Russell Harry Kowalski, 75, passed unexpectedly on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, 2022. He was born, Aug. 5, 1947 in Burns to his parents, Harry and Bobbie Kowalski. Russell graduated Burns High School 1966, and was junior class president and overall amazing athlete. Following graduation, he served with the US Army
